Two worlds. One table.
Foodcast is where the warmth of the kitchen meets the precision of artificial intelligence — hosted by Opel Khan, chef, restaurateur, and founder.
The show
Every episode pulls a chair up to the same table that built Opel's career — one where a Michelin consultant and a machine-learning researcher are equally welcome. We talk to the people redefining how the world eats, builds, and connects: chefs reinventing fine dining, founders launching from their phones, technologists rewriting what's possible.
Expect long, unhurried conversations. Real stories from real operators. No fluff, no jargon — just the truth about building something worth tasting.
Your host — Opel Khan
Some people master one world in a lifetime. Opel mastered two — and then fused them into something entirely new.
Over two decades he built one of hospitality's most respected names: owner of more than 30 restaurants, a sought-after 5-star hotel consultant, and an award-winning cookbook author. For him, food was never just business — it was how he spoke to the world.
In 2025 he turned that same relentless curiosity to AI. Enrolling in MIT Professional Education's program in No-Code AI, Machine Learning & LLMs, Opel didn't just complete it — he finished 992 out of 1000, top of his class.
Today he's the chairman and founder of Quantum-Ok Technology Group, an ecosystem of seven ventures spanning voice AI, ghost kitchens, cybersecurity, PropTech, EdTech, and custom silicon. His latest food venture, Voice Kitchen, brings five-star cuisine to your door — ordered entirely by voice via VoiceEats and delivered on a fully electric Vespa fleet.
Why Foodcast exists
"Food taught me that the world's greatest technology is human connection. AI taught me we can scale that connection to everyone, everywhere."
That belief is the show. Whether the guest is plating tasting menus in Dubai or training models in Sydney, the question is the same: what are you building, and who is it really for?
